Project Proposal

Within this section of Digital Portfolio I would like the focus of my final project to be on displaying the beauty behind the grime that is Brooklyn. I would like to use a series of digital photography in a slide show sequence to present my idea to my audience. The project would be a sort of ode to the borough of Brooklyn and its inhabitants.
I will have to set up a schedule for location shots and also I will have to enlist the help of friends and family as models and/or transportation specialists. I will have to use my digital camera, printing paper, suitable of picture printing, and also my digital printer. My project will have to be extremely hands on because I will have to travel and basically set up all of my shot myself. I will play the role of photographer, set designer, shoot coordinator, etc. If I do not put my best foot forward for this project, the final result will be unsatisfactory and generally crappy.
I feel that this idea is important because it will show creativity and perspective; I can relate the project back to me and also to my peers, as the majority of us have grown up in Brooklyn and we can all appreciate its hidden beauty. This project is something that I really want to do because I have been contemplating the idea for awhile because I have a hidden interest in digital photography and also a deep love for the borough of Brooklyn. I love the diversity that my borough represents and how every different area is distinguishably different.

Brooklyn Wonder

I would like to use a series of photos to bring focus to how beautiful the borough of Brooklyn can be. I feel that Brooklyn receives more attention for it's crime rate and it being the home of many rappers. Growing up in the borough I have seen the best and worst neighborhoods within the area and I admire the diversity that Brooklyn holds. From the people to the different businesses and homes; Brooklyn is a modern marvel within itself.
